  • In the last three years, there have only been TWO jury trials in the 388th District Court.

  • Judge Gonzalez did NOT preside over either trial. Visiting Judge Acala and Visiting Judge Rivera presided over the trials. Judge Gonzalez is on record saying that she did not authorize the assignment of the visiting judges. Unfortunately, this is NOT true. In cause number 2019DCM1216 , Judge Gonzalez requested the assignment. And 2019DCM3545, Judge Gonzalez again requested the assignment.

  • Over 31 weeks of courtroom time over the last three years have been presided over by visiting judges. That means that for 10 weeks a year, Judge Gonzalez is substituting out her cases.

  • Over $95,000.00 has been spent on visiting judge’s salaries in the last 3 years, not including the visiting judge’s travel costs and Judge Gonzalez’ annual salary.

  • Several prominent attorneys have a recusal from Judge Gonzalez’s court for her unprofessional and biased behavior. That means that 10% of her docket is transferred to the other family courts- creating a delay for litigants.

  • Judge Gonzalez has been accused of making false representations and suborning perjury. 2022DCM1084; 2021DCM4291

  • Judge Gonzalez has been accused of retaliating against attorneys who support her political opposition. She was accused of “maintaining a dossier of photos and posts of those who support her opponent”. She has been accused of “apparent harboring of a personal vendetta against” those attorneys. 2016DCM4250 and exhibits.

  • Judge Gonzalez has been accused of commencing investigations against an attorney, creating an adversarial position. She is accused of failing to disclose the adversarial position and of allowing the attorney to practice in her court, despite the commenced investigation. 2015DCM6661

  • Involving a different attorney than the last example, Judge Gonzalez was accused of commencing an investigation and an attack against an attorney, failing to disclose the investigation to the attorney, all the while allowing the attorney to practice in her court. 2022DCM4835.

  • These are a few stories of my clients who did not receive the justice they deserved from Judge Gonzalez.
